I wonder what it feels like to be a writer. Perhaps you wonder the same things. Why is it so embarrassing to write something, say, a short story, only to feel worthless upon completion, or more often, before you even finish the second paragraph. Well, my parents taught me that I can, (get ready for a tasty cliche) do anything if I practice, work hard and get off my booty and (Nike) just do it. It's true, what if I told you to get off your booty, apply at Starbucks and get a job? You'd say that's possible of course, so now apply the same logic to any dang thing you want to do.
Back to me... After five years, a young adult fiction novel (to be published sometime this summer), and eleven short stories... here I am, a writer. I'm not sure what this blog will be about yet, but I think it will start with me chronicling my journey towards becoming a published writer, or maybe, God willing, a "read" writer. Wouldn't that be something if more than just my parents and close friends read my stuff? That's the goal. Here we go...
Oh, and here's a link to my first two short stories for the Kindle:
